DETAILS & AMENITIES

Whether gazing out towards the olive groves and hills from the terrace, cooling off in the swimming pool or relaxing in the garden by the roses, this is a picture-perfect base for making the most of this captivating part of Provence.

Maison Du Ciel Rose sleeps up to 12 guests across this inviting home with three beautiful bedrooms in the main house, one in a vine-covered annex and two more in a stone cottage also within the grounds. There is a range of queen-size double and twin beds whilst each bedroom has its own private bath or shower room. They have been decorated with such care – admire charming furnishings, artwork and, best of all, those mesmerizing Luberon vistas from many of the bedrooms.

The country kitchen is a chef’s dream – pick up a wealth of seasonal produce from local markets to cook up Provençal feasts to be enjoyed outside on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool and olive trees below. The lounge’s corner sofa surrounds the grand fireplace, and the snug is the ideal spot to cozy up and watch the Smart TV.

Sip coffee by the roses as family members or friends swim in the large swimming pool, then soak up the warm summer sun on the poolside terrace with the Luberon views glistening in the distance. When you feel ready to leave your slow-paced getaway, it’s less than a 5km drive to the perched medieval village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt with its inviting restaurants, cobbled lanes, old stone fountains and beautiful doorways surrounded by yet more glorious Provençal scenery. Don’t miss the Tuesday morning market and make sure you try the local cherries, olive oil and wine produced near the village.

The Saturday morning market in nearby Apt is another great experience, the largest in the Luberon with up to 300 stalls in the summer months. Other wonderful places to visit include the iconic perched villages of Roussillon, Gordes, Bonnieux and Lourmarin, all classified as ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’.

Discover incredible walking and hiking opportunities, come across amazing restaurants and pretty markets and cycle past poppy and lavender fields as you explore the Luberon and beyond. Kayak or canoe along the Sorgue River from Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, potter around the antique stores of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and you could even venture to two jewels of Provence for a grand day out with Avignon and Aix-en-Provence both around an hour away by car.
