Villa Waterfall lies close by the bustling town of Nydri and a five-minute drive to the village’s centre will lead you to the start of the walk to Nydri Waterfalls. After parking, make your way down the 350m road and you will discover the gorgeous and vibrant waterfalls. The falls are especially magical during the springtime and give off a beautiful mist as the water drops into the lake. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there is the opportunity to swim amongst the striking rocks that the waterfall runs on.
Lefkada Earth Winery is a wonderful wine cellar located on the island of Lefkada. The winery is an intriguing and informative centre founded in 2000 by Dimitris Rombotis. Guests can go on a free tour around the cellar and be introduced to the local grape varieties of Vardea and Vertzami. The former variety creates ‘Lefkadian Land White.’ a dry white wine native to the island.
During the tour, you will be able to sample this delicious wine as well as many others with the option of purchasing a bottle before you head home. You will discover the time-honored winemaking process as well as visit the small museum featuring equipment used to make wine in the past – even though this is a relatively new winery.
