Everything is going to be all white when you vacation in the beautiful Villa Nikita, situated on the north coast of mainland Greece, overlooking the azure waters of the Aegean Sea. Villa Nikita embraces the best that nature has endowed it, set in verdant extensive grounds, within walking distance of the nearest beach, and commanding sweeping sea views. The property has four spacious double bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, ideal for a large family holiday, or a group of friends’ get-together.
This one-storey, detached villa is constructed out of local stone, inside and out, making it super cool in summer, and cosy in winter.
Villa Nikiti sits in seven thousand square metres of gorgeous gardens, populated with ancient olive trees, lush green lawns, and your own infinity swimming pool with a Jacuzzi. The villa comes complete with private parking, complimentary air conditioning, and Wi-Fi throughout. The interiors are charming, furnished with traditional pieces, using lots of natural woods, and stone tiled flooring, and decorated in a predominantly white colour palette, with soft earth tones for contrast.
Take the elegant stone steps up to the front door, and enter the villa to discover an open-plan living space, with floor-to-ceiling doors, dressed with billowing white curtains, that give access to the garden and pool terrace. There are two seating areas, each with dark wood, framed sofas with deep white cushions, and matching armchairs. On one side is an entertainment area with bookshelves, a flat-screen satellite television, Bluetooth speakers, a DVD player, and a delightfully juxtapositioned wine fridge. On the other, is a wood-burning fireplace, where you can snuggle in front of on those cooler evenings. The adjacent farmhouse-style, wooden dining set would be ideal for some informal indoor entertaining. The pretty, all-white kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances that you will need to cater for your holiday. There are four exquisitely-appointed bedrooms, one with a four-poster double bed and white drapes, one with a wood-framed bed with sheer mosquito netting, and two with handcrafted wooden twin beds. There are two shared modern bathrooms, both with showers, hand basins, WCs, and those must-have complimentary toiletries.
You will love the outdoor space at Villa Nikiti. Step out onto the terrace, breathe in the fresh air, and be wowed by the mesmerising sea views. The paved terrace leads down to an infinity, step-entry swimming pool, with a built-in Jacuzzi, perfectly positioned to capture the sunsets. The pool is surrounded by classic steamer-style, wooden sun loungers with soft white cushions, and shady parasols. Relax in one of two wooden four-poster day beds, festooned with white curtains that blow in the sea breeze. Swing in the hammock, strung up between two ancient olive trees. Take tea at the four-seater director’s chairs and wood table set, before a walk of the extensive grounds and gardens. As dusk falls meet at the colonial-style soft seating set, and enjoy a sundowner as the sun sets. Then take your seat at the outdoor dining set, and feast alfresco from dishes specially prepared on the built-in stone barbeque, and wood-burning oven.

Location:
Villa Nikiti is perfectly positioned in the lush green hillside of Sithonia, overlooking the cerulean waters of the Aegean Sea. The villa is a few kilometres from the exclusive resort of Nikiti, in Halkidiki, on the north coast of mainland Greece. The nearest international airport is Thessaloniki, a ninety-kilometre drive through the Greek countryside to your holiday home. In the village of Nikiti, you will find minimarts for provisions for your holiday, an original ancient settlement with a Folklore Museum, the Christian basilica of St Sopronius, cafes, bars, and restaurants, and a superb resort, with seafront tavernas, sailing and diving trips, and beach clubs for sunbathing by day and dancing by night.
The nearest beach of Kastri is just four hundred metres from the villa. Nikiti is the middle of the three Halkidiki peninsulas, noted for its long white sandy beaches, and abundance of nature. Nearby recommended beaches are; Karidi with powder sands and shallow waters, the blue flag Trani Ammouda, Portakali, which is made up of many smaller beaches, the organised Sarti for its views of Mount Athos, and Kalamitsi for snorkelling and scuba diving, and lots of lovely lunch options. The other two peninsulas are Cassandra, famous for its bustling resorts, and lively nightlife, and Athos, which is much quieter and home to the Eastern Orthodox monastery. The monastery of Mount Athos can only be viewed from the water, and only men may visit by arrangement at least six months in advance.
There are lots for you to see and do in the area. Charter a yacht or join a boat tour, sail along the coastline, swim and snorkel in the warm Aegean waters, and dine aboard on freshly caught fish. Island hop to the Drenia Isles, an archipelago of six islands, with shallow waters that are superb for swimming. The area is steeped in ancient history, most notably Stageria, the birthplace of the Greek philosopher, Aristotle, with a park dedicated to his life and work. The village of Olynthos is an archaeological site discovered in the 1930s with well-preserved mosaic floors, and a museum displaying the findings.
Take a trip to the cave of Petralona, on the western side of Mount Katsika, full of stalagmites and stalactites, where a human skull believed to be over seven hundred thousand years was discovered, along with lots of other animal fossils. In the centre of the peninsula is Poligiros, the capital of Halkidiki, known for its nightlife and bars, and the Archeological and Folklore Museums. For something a bit more active, hike along the trails through the local lush green forests, try scuba diving, or take a jeep safari across the terrain to see local villages, secret beaches, and ancient archaeological sites. Make sure you go on a wine and honey tasting tour, sample the delicacies, and take some home with you. Travel further afield to the city of ancient Thessaloniki, wander around the Old Town, see the city walls, admire the stunning views from the top, seek solace in the church and crypt of Agios Dimitrios, and learn about the history and culture of the area in the Archeological and Byzantine Museums.
