The villa’s outdoor space also offers a covered seating area with a corner sofa, where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine together whilst taking in the amazing Caribbean sunset.

From the pool, wide patio doors lead to a bright and airy interior. Here, guests will find an open-plan living space with comfortable sofas and a flatscreen TV, the ideal spot for lounging after a day spent exploring the island around you. This area flows seamlessly into a lovely dining area, adjacent to a well-equipped kitchen, where you have plenty of space to prepare a homemade meal together for a family night in, with views of the sparkling sea below.

On the first floor, the villa’s understated contemporary décor and dreamlike vistas continue. The master bedroom features a four-poster king-size bed and direct access to a private balcony, where you can sip your morning coffee to the sound of the waves lapping gently below. This bedroom has a modern en-suite bathroom with two wash basins, a walk-in shower, and a freestanding bathtub, ideal for a luxurious soak at the end of the day. The villa’s second bedroom, a charming twin room, also has access to its own balcony and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The villa is air-conditioned throughout, and ceiling fans are in place in the lounge and both bedrooms, ensuring that your nights are cool and restful.

No detail has been overlooked when it comes to making sure that your island escape is a blissful experience that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. There is a housekeeping service every other day, with a concierge service also available during your stay. Location:

The nation of Antigua and Barbuda encompasses its namesake sister islands and several smaller islets, all located in the heart of the beautiful Caribbean. While Antigua is the largest of the nation’s islands, it remains a remarkably small corner of paradise at just 281 km², making it the perfect place for a relaxed getaway.

Villa Avice has an ideal location that perfectly encapsulates all the stunning natural beauty that Antigua has to offer. Each day you will be tempted to stay close to Tamarind Hills, with the silky white sands of Ffryes Beach and Darkwood Beach below. Secluded by green hilltops and popular with tourists and locals alike, both beaches are well-known beauty spots. Swim and snorkel in the crystalline waters here, before stopping for lunch at a restaurant near Jolly Harbour Marina.

Serene beaches are only the beginning of all that this friendly island has to offer. Only a twenty-minute drive away, the Antiguan capital of St. John’s is easily accessible. This colourful Caribbean port is home to an impressive cathedral and lively markets by the harbour every weekend. For a chance to learn more about the nation’s fascinating history, you can also visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, located in the old colonial Court House.

Slightly further afield, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is one of five national parks in Antigua. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. Nelson’s Dockyard offers visitors plenty of fantastic trekking trails, with breathtaking sights along the way.

Consider visiting Shirley Heights, a restored military lookout with panoramic views and the home of a famous Sunday evening party, where visitors are invited to come and take part in the festivities. Listen to live Caribbean steel drum bands, try some of the local food and rum punch and discover another amazing sunset vista.

Devil’s Bridge is another national park that is well worth a visit. The bridge itself is a natural arch composed of limestone rock, formed over the course of many thousands of years. With geysers and blowholes surrounding the bridge as the waves of the Atlantic crash against the rocks, this is a bracing adventure that will leave you in awe of the serene beaches you have just left behind.

With hiking trails, watersports, culinary delights, museums, exotic birds and rainforests, visitors will be enchanted time and time again by Antigua’s breathtaking landscape and rich culture.
