DETAILS & AMENITIES

Villa Paravati is an elegant and exquisitely finished private villa, standing tall at three storeys, within its own immaculately maintained grounds, complete with private pool and spa.

Guests will immediately feel the vibrant and relaxed vibe upon arriving at Villa Paravati; its glistening, pristine white facade with traditional olive green shutters and pleasing linear architecture create a beautiful holiday ambience, together with private drive and perfect lawns, shaded and framed by trees and foliage, leading to a sublime pool area.

The pool is a chic, seductive sight of clear azure waters set within a gleaming stone patio space with ample loungers, sun-beds and parasols; this makes an ideal setting to let the strains of modern living dissipate, with a cocktail and a good book, or to enjoy the secluded tranquillity of the milieu.

This home is a romantic sight when the sun softens and the garden lights illuminate the wonderful grounds; the cloistered veranda provides the perfect environment for long, sumptuous evening meals, laid-back barbecues or antipasti whilst enjoying local wines. The first floor and second floor both offer balconies with views across the lawns and the countryside beyond.

This sumptuous villa is every inch the stylish Italian family home; the french windows enable light to pour in, the long lawns will keep children busy for hours, while the abundance of choices for al fresco dining will keep evenings interesting.

The classic setting, combined with modern touches gives this villa a playful feel. Sleek and well proportioned, it has a very mellow aura; fragrant with house plants and luminous natural day light.

The mirror side table, burnt orange leather chaise, the Marilyn Monroe pop art – there are hints of old school Hollywood glamour; this home will certainly please interiors enthusiasts and creative types! A second reception room provides a pistachio green, rounded sofa and accents of pistachio green amongst glossy dark wood furnishings.

With ample character, this home continues is eccentric touches into the kitchen, with a laid back west coast feel, the bright orange accents are playful and upbeat, with a modern, well equipped family kitchen providing all the necessary top range appliances and fittings for self catering. Touches of perspex, glossy orange splash back and monochrome toned kitchen give a nod to sixties style whilst kitchenware is all top in class quality.

The bedrooms are calm, restorative and stunningly executed, whilst still abundant in characterful designer panache! Each has its unique accents of bold and playful colour, within the most classic and comfortable context of wonderful high ceilings, classical architecture and quality cotton linen; likewise, each bathroom equally has a characterful feel, whether it be colourful tiling or breath taking views across Vesuvius. Each bedroom has its own selling point, whether it be the private sitting room, direct balcony access or the best of the views

Location:

Villa Paravati is just a short walk from Sant’Agata Sui Due Golfi which is a small community nestled between Naples and Salerno. On one side lies the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius, on the other lies the Gulf of Salerno with the Galli islands and Amalfi coast, and just off the coast is the renowned and glamorous island of Capri.

Locally, the Monastero del Deserto has charmed travellers such as Stendhal and Goethe, and the church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie, which is known for its opulent inlaid altar, laid with marble and mother of pearl.

The region has a strong gastronomical heritage, with some multiple starred restaurants including Don Alfonso and Lo Stuzzichino, as well as cheese dairies which offer tours.

The magical, historical site of the Bagni della Regina Giovanna – famous for the legendary tale of Queen Giovanna; a natural seawater lagoon inside the old Roman ruins is worth a visit, while the area around Sorrento is rich with culture, and the elegant Amalfi coast offers so much.

For a taste of the dolce vita Positano is a wonderful picture-card perfect day trip with stunning coastal roads.

Pompeii requires a full day (and plenty of cooling drinks in the heat of the summer.) This ancient preserved town has been crystallised in time; the statues are a sobering and unforgettable sight. Parents of toddlers should be aware that the streets are cobbled; the cafe offers a good selection of ice lollies, however.

Capri is a fun boat trip away, with smart restaurants and beautiful fine sandy beaches.

Naples itself is buzzing and bustling working city; the markets, the narrow streets with their outdoor washing lines and cobbled alleyways offer a true taste of southern Italian colour and life, along with plenty of history, beautiful churches and allegedly the best pizza Italy has to offer.

Sorrento itself looks over the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula; sitting on the clifftops that separate the town from its busy marinas, it is renowned for its sweeping water views across the waters and central Piazza Tasso, the cafe-lined square.

The centre of Sorrento is steeped in history; within a warren of narrow alleys the Chiesa di San Francesco is a sight to behold; the 14th-century church in rich, opulent Italian style with tranquil cloisters.

Amalfi itself is so attractive with its ochre tones, set in a fertile region known for its fresh produce, boat trips and long sandy beaches are the tones of the day. Seafood restaurants are aplenty, as are small, little authentic towns set within the cliffs.

Whether it be hiking, fine cuisine or historical sites, this part of Italy offers opportunity in abundance. The Lattari mountains hug the Sorrentine peninsula impressively. Jazz concerts in the open air are popular in the summer months, and the renowned Museo Correale di Terranova is a must-see for art lovers.
