With immense character, warm decor, charming furnishings, nine bedrooms and lots of entertainment available, Villa Kaouki is perfect for family get-togethers or large groups of friends wanting to enjoy a holiday in a Moroccan seaside resort. The villa is comprised of a main house and a pavilion, where you will find four of the bedrooms. Villa Kaouki enjoys an ideal position for those that love nature as it overlooks an argan forest and comes with a wonderfully mature garden sprinkled with cypress, palms, bougainvillaea and other wonderful trees and plants. The villa is fully staffed, so you can relax and be pampered. There is also plenty to keep you occupied with a mini tennis court, volleyball, swimming pool and table tennis.
Built-in colonial style, Villa Kaouki was inspired by the former noble Portuguese houses. It is very spacious at 450 sqm, and the pavilion is 200 sqm. You will discover gorgeous beamed ceilings, attractive arches, huge fireplaces and wonderful accessories throughout. In the main villa, you will discover on the ground floor a very spacious living and dining room full of character and charm, a fully equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms. One offers a double bed, and the other offers both a double and a single bed. There are televisions and DVD players in the bedrooms, inviting long, lazy lie-ins. The bedrooms in Villa Kaouki enjoy some wonderful colour schemes that will catch your eye and make you smile!
Upstairs you will discover another three bedrooms. One boasts a superbly comfortable kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bath where you can soak your stresses away, a second room enjoys a kingsize bed and an additional single bed, and the last offers a double bed. These two rooms share a bathroom with a shower. Again, televisions and DVD players are provided for your entertainment. The four pavilion bedrooms all enjoy comfy double beds, all beautifully dressed with quality linens and lovely soft furnishings. There is a shared bathroom.
Outside, a huge terrace is the perfect spot for an alfresco lunch or dinner. The large alfresco lounge space is just brilliant, with a very pretty courtyard area on one side and the pool on the other. The pool offers a refreshing dip and is surrounded by lux loungers and hammocks. Although this villa can sleep up to twenty guests, there are plenty of different spots where you can enjoy some lovely quiet time. You will find some fitness equipment if you want to maintain your fitness levels, a mini tennis court if you want to practice your shots, table tennis for some healthy competition and lovely gardens to stroll through. As well as many palms, you will discover vibrant bougainvillaea, towering cypress trees and many other wonderful shrubs and plants.

Location:
Villa Kaouki enjoys a wonderful, tranquil location just outside Essaouira and overlooking the argan forest. Visitors to Essaouira enjoy stunning beaches, thrilling watersports, delicious fresh seafood and a buzzing Medina. The town is very much a working port and fishing town as well as a beautiful tourist hub. It is known for its coastal wind, beautifully named the Alizee, giving the town the name of the ‘Wind City of Africa’.
You will enjoy a relaxed shopping experience in the Medina of Essaouira. There are five main gates and a laid-back, car-free pedestrian area sprinkled with souks that you can explore at your own pace. You will discover palm-lined avenues lined with art galleries and boutiques. You will enjoy the gorgeous white and blue facades and the striking ramparts. Dating from the late 18th century and added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2001, it is a lovely place to stroll. It was famously used in the opening scene of Orson Wells’ 1951 films Othello and Game of Thrones. The Medina is surrounded by dramatic, wave-lashed ramparts which offer spectacular sunset views. The Slala de la Ville 18th-century ramparts protect the Medina and its row of nineteen bronze cannons from the crashing waves and seafaring marauders.
Essaouira’s busy port is filled with colourful fishing boats. There is a large fish auction in the market hall by the port gates every Saturday, plus you can watch the daily catch being sold every afternoon to the restaurants around the harbour. You will see the sea-blue wooden boats arriving and departing and nets being repaired.
The beaches are great fun for windsurfing and kite surfing though the water is pretty cold. The beach runs for approximately six miles and is popular for walking, football and other sports. Swimming is best in the town stretch as Safi Beach to the north has a strong current. Camel owners are founds on the sands to the south. You can head south across the Ksob River to see the ruins of the Borj El Berod, an old fortress and pavilion at low tide. From here, you can walk inland to the village of Diabat or continue to the sand dunes of Cap Sim.
The Gnaoua World Music Festival is held in June for three days. It is Essaouira’s biggest annual event. The Gnaoua people are descendants of slaves that originated from Black Africa and established brotherhoods throughout Morocco. They are made up of master musicians, metal castanet players, clairvoyants, mediums and their followers. The festival showcases their talents with music and mysticism.
