Villa Daneila is just two kilometers from the center of Crikenvica, set on the Adriatic coast and considered one of its jewels – where the sea and the green plains of the Vinodol valley meet.
Crikvenica has a host of seasonal events, including the traditional Fishermen’s Week (one of the oldest festivals in Crikvenica). St Anthony’s church is a tranquil visiting place, and the Russian Orthodox church has an immense 35m high belfry. Crikvenica Town Museum houses local artefacts within an attractive and well-organized space is worth a visit, as is the Aquarium which is home to over 150 species.
The “love road” is a beautiful hike past an old fort, with the full path being a 3-hour long hiking trail in stunningly unspoilt nature.
The coastal stretch around Crikvenica is ideal for watersports, from diving to snorkeling, while boat trips to the nearby islands make for a fun-filled day trip.
The Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of Croatia’s finest national parks, offering 16 spectacular lakes connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. Visitors will enjoy this unique oasis of natural beauty by walking along the paths and wooden bridges or taking a tour by small train and boat.
