Villa Travicello is an exquisitely restored eighteenth-century Tuscan villa, ornately preserved with abundant traditional charm as well as glamorous touches of modern day luxury, within its own private, gated estate.
Set behind a wrought iron entrance, with original stone courtyards and a series of terracotta tiled outhouses, this sumptuous home casts an impressive silhouette, standing regally within its own impeccably maintained estate with private pool.
There are a series of cobbled courtyards, wonderful verdant lawns and terraces with a brick-built barbecue and a dining veranda for sumptuous al fresco meals. When illuminated at night, the glistening pool and swaying, fragrant pine trees are a majestic sight, offset by immaculately maintained lawns framed by flowering plants. Sitting in the bubbling jacuzzi with a cocktail facing panoramic views of the Tuscan hills, fragrant with olive groves, is about as good as it gets!
The interiors at Villa Travicello offer abundant rustic charm, with large original sixteenth-century fireplaces, decorative wrought-iron stair rails, original windows and exposed timber beams. Interspersed with the traditional tone are touches of indulgent glamour: Turkish bath with aromotherapy, state of the art walk-in showers, hotel-grade cotton bed linen.
The living spaces are well proportioned and dripping with ornate features and relaxed luxury; pinstriped silk upholstery, antique furnishings and gorgeous pistachio toned dresser filled with porcelain and crystal to name a few!
The sense of preserved history is recurrent throughout this home; the original doors in place, frescoes on the walls, and a wonderful, roomy farmhouse style eat-in kitchen with locally painted tiles.
This sumptuous home can accommodate up to eight guests across four bedrooms. Lavishly adorned, the interiors have regal and elegant accents of crimson, oil paintings, antique candle holders and abundant character. The bedrooms offer sedate refinement, away from the bustle of the crowds, with views across the impeccably manicured lawns and hills beyond.
Guests can enjoy all the privacy and seclusion of a private home along with five-star hotel grade services such as a personal chef who can cater to an array of menus. Additional services include private wine tasting and Italian cooking lessons.
Dining al fresco is a stylish affair at this glorious home; guests will adjust the pace and enjoy long and leisurely breakfasts after a refreshing morning swim, or a mouthwatering barbecue as the sun softens across the hills, with an array of local wines and locally sourced antipasti.
Villa Travicello is a secluded and tranquil rustic idyll, set within its own verdant and fragrant private grounds, offering a little slice of preserved history, just a short distance from some of Tuscany’s finest cities.
