There are plenty of large gathering spaces and smaller intimate spaces too.Spanish/Southwestern AmbianceThe Spanish/southwestern feel starts with the exterior of the villa and the Spanish tile roof with jutting exposed wood beams. Step inside and the feeling continues. You’ll find exposed rustic wood beams, high vaulted ceilings, and plaster walls. Rounded arches, nooks and niches are everywhere.A few steps down takes you into the main living area with wood floors and modern leather furniture angled towards the fireplace/large flat screen TV. There is plenty of countertop space for serving drinks and snacks. A convenient arched opening connects to the wet bar and multiple sliding doors open out onto the covered deck, letting in plenty of light.Greenery throughout the villa adds pops of color and the modern artwork breaks up the smooth light colored walls. In the Dining Room, the table seats eight easily, and the modern furniture and playful cobalt cabinetry, offset the feel of the over-sized quarry tile floor.The Kitchen has stone countertops, a decorative tiled backsplash and is fully equipped and ready for making meals for large crowds. While the Kitchen is traditionally styled, modern pendants over the island lend a bright touch. A deep bay with arched windows and rustic exposed wood beams houses a rustic table and chairs, perfect for that morning cup of coffee.The Game Room has a full sized pool table under exposed beams with a quarry tile floor. It’s open to the hall and Dining Room beyond through arched openings – great for keeping in touch with everyone. There is a separate Laundry Room located by the Kitchen.A carpeted open stair, is set in a projecting angular bay and colorful cushions below the landing provide a fun location for some impromptu meetings or gatherings. What a great place to read a book or take a nap! The second floor balcony overlooking the Living Area is a great gathering space. The row of arched windows above bright cobalt built-ins let in the gorgeous mountain view.Sleeping QuartersThe master bedroom downstairs is accessed through a private office area, has a traditional king bed recessed in a nook, peaked ceiling with exposed beams and wood plank ceiling, flat screen TV, a south-western style corner fireplace, and a feature wall with nooks filled with gently lighted sculpture. A quatrefoil window adds a light touch. The private bathroom has a lovely soaker tub recessed in an arched bay with gentle light filtering in through the glass block wall. There is a soothing desert color scheme and a sauna as well as walk-in shower.The other four downstairs bedrooms have flat screen TVs, quarry tile floors, bright accents of color in the draperies and pillows. Two bedrooms have king-size beds and private bathrooms, the third has two queen beds and the fourth has bunk beds (single above, double below). The third and fourth bedroom are connected by French doors and share a bathroom.The second master bedroom upstairs has a large paneled wood headboard nestled in its own nook, angled heavy exposed beams and wood plank ceiling, a mini-bar, soft rose-red draperies adorning the window wall and French door that lead out to a private covered porch with fireplace and seating, and stairs down to the backyard. The covered porch is perfect for morning coffee or an evening before the fireplace while stargazing or just for admiring the amazing view. The second master bedroom has it’s own bathroomAnother bedroom has a king bed and en suite bath. The last two upstairs bedrooms share a bath and a soft gray color scheme. One bedroom has access to a deck, and the other has a bay with arched windows and window seat. Bright blue cushions and pillows brighten up both rooms. Bathrooms have a mix of walk-in showers or shower/tub combinations, and the bright blue cobalt pops of color continue.Guest QuartersSeparated from the main house by the garage is the Guest Quarters. The Living Room has exposed beams and wood plank ceiling like the main house, but the similarities end there. The main house has a traditional Spanish theme, while the Guest House is more modern. White large tile floor, dramatic black draperies and a crystal chandelier offset the rustic wood and light-colored stacked stone fireplace and dividing Kitchen counter wall.The guest house Kitchen has stainless steel appliances, and a more modern feel than main house kitchen. The white tile continues into the Bedroom with its dark midnight blue walls, white leather King-size bed, mirrored wall (closet doors), tall windows and door lead to side patio. There’s a separate laundry room too!A narrow stairwell leads to the bonus Game Room – perfect for extra guests with two sets of bunk beds. It’s basically one large open space, with a comfy sofa facing large TV.Outdoor AmenitiesThe large covered porch has both a seating and dining area with ceiling fans – another spot for gathering with your friends and family. The centerpiece of the large walled backyard is the large heated pool and jacuzzi. The covered pavilion extends out into the pool and is complete with a grill and everything you’ll need for those family cook-outs.Bright blue accents continue in the backyard with bright glazed cobalt blue pots and blue-cushioned loungers facing the pool and Mediterranean-styled fountain. The backyard is nicely landscaped with varying colors and textures of pavers and bright green grass accents.
