About the Area: – For skiing and snowboarding, Heavenly is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Sierra at Tahoe is a great option for smaller crowds and lower prices. There’s also a snow-tubing area on the way. – Fallen Leaf Lake is our personal favorite for swimming, kayaking, and picnics. The best way to get there is through Fallen Lake Campground (Day-use parking permits are ~$10). – To escape the crowds in town, head to Baldwin Beach on Lake Tahoe. – Enjoy lakeside activities in town around El Dorado beach and shopping around Stateline. – In the summer, take the gondola up to Heavenly for great views – Adults can enjoy gambling and casino fun in Nevada. – Right behind the house is the Meyers Lake Tahoe bike trail, perfect for walking, running, and biking. - Taylor Creek Nature Visitor Center is great for kids. – Echo Lake is easily accessible from the house with tons of hiking around and breathtaking views, especially in the summer. – Upper Truckee River Loop is a short, beautiful, and easy walk/hike near the house. The trailhead is at the parking lot across from the Lake Tahoe Golf course, less than a half-mile walk from the house. – Mt. Tallac is a great hike for the more adventurous. Get an early start to make it to the top where you will find fantastic views of Desolation Wilderness to the West. – Find more short and easy hikes around Emerald Bay and Eagle Falls/Lake. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee.
