The entire upstairs of the home is a Master Suite which has the same amazing views. Here are just a few highlights of what it is like to tour this home.Enter into a bright foyer where you can kick off your shoes and take off your coat comfortably. You have arrived in a home with the space to accommodate your family needs. Next, make your way into the Roosevelt Living Room. We gave it this name because you feel as if you were transported to the picturesque National Park lodges of the early 20th century when Theodore Roosevelt first established the National Park program. Here you will find a lofted ceiling of hand-hewn, old-growth logs, rustic lighting, Longs Peak views, and polished wood floors. This is the perfect place to recuperate after a long hike, snowshoe or horseback ride. The Roosevelt room leads to the Kitchen. Here you can cook to your heart’s content with the high-end appliances, custom cabinets, and granite countertops. The granite looks like it came from the granite boulders just outside! Plan a little extra time to prep your meal – you will get distracted by the Longs Peak views from the kitchen sink!On the other side of the kitchen is the Family Gathering Hall where you will be ready for any special reunion. There is seating for 10 around the rustic wood dining table, a cozy nook for puzzles and games, a comfy seating space for watching your favorite westerns, and big windows to take in the views. Please note: the fireplace is not for guest use.Whenever those views make you want to go outside, just do it! An enormous wrap-around deck runs the entire length of the house. Our favorite moment: early morning coffee when the air is still and sweet and elk pass in front of the house. Later in the day, it is the perfect place to grill some burgers, sit at the picnic table and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.Upstairs is the Master Suite. The entire second floor is devoted to this romantic getaway! Wake up on the four-poster bed and watch the pink-orange morning sun illuminate Longs Peak.
