DETAILS & AMENITIES

If you’re looking for a unique Italian holiday destination away from the usual tourist spots, consider visiting the island of Ponza. The largest of the Pontine Islands archipelago, Ponza is located in the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea. Residents of Rome and Naples enjoy holidays here, as the island is easily accessible by train and ferry from both cities. Ponza offers an idyllic setting where you can savor delicious local cuisine and relax on stunning beaches.

This ancient, classical-style home has been beautifully renovated to blend traditional Italian décor with modern furnishings and amenities. The house is decorated with high-quality furnishings and vibrant pops of color from large rugs and artworks. The blue and white tones, along with plants and wall hangings, create a cozy atmosphere, bringing the colors of the sea and surrounding vegetation into the home.

The villa is spread across two floors, offering spacious accommodations with six bedrooms and various indoor and outdoor living areas. On the ground floor, you’ll find a living room with sofas, armchairs, a Smart TV, and a fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen, with its open shelving and antique floor tiles, has everything you need for meal preparation. You can hire a private chef and staff if you’d prefer not to cook all the time. Meals can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors on the covered terrace.

The six bedrooms are distributed across both floors. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom and a bedroom with twin beds, both with en-suite bathrooms. Upstairs, you’ll find four more beautifully appointed bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Outdoors, the large covered terrace is perfect for dining, with a table seating 14 guests, surrounded by candles and twinkling lights in the evening, and offering stunning sea views. The lawn area, sun loungers, and expansive sitting area with outdoor sofas provide plenty of space to relax.

Ponza town, the island’s main center, is just 500 meters away, where you can explore colorful buildings, enjoy restaurants around the bustling marina, and visit a variety of beaches within walking distance.

You can also visit nearby islands or take a day trip to the island’s largest beach, Spiaggia del Frontone. A scenic boat ride around the island offers views of Chiaia di Luna beach, which is closed to visitors due to falling rocks but is best viewed from the water.

Location:

Ponza is the largest of the six Pontine islands, located off the coast of Lazio, Italy. With plenty to see and do, Ponza offers an ideal summer escape. Villa Chiaia di Luna is just 500 meters from pristine beaches, shops, restaurants, and the island’s main port, making it the perfect setting for your getaway.

The villa overlooks the clear blue sea, and several beaches are just a short walk away. The closest beaches, Spiaggia Giancos and Spiaggia San Antonio, are pretty coves ideal for sunbathing and relaxing, with easy access to the town center. Ponza is small, so you can easily drive to other well-loved beaches like Cala Feola, 7 km away, where you can enjoy dinner at the restaurant La Marina, known for its unique cactus parmigiana. Cala Feola Beach is accessible by a set of steps. For those who prefer swimming without sand, the nearby Piscine Naturali offers natural pools carved into the rocks and filled with sea water.

Ponza is also a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering kayaking, water sports, boat rentals, hiking, mountain biking, and snorkeling within 1 km of the villa.

In addition to its natural beauty, Ponza has charming towns and villages to explore. Ponza town, known locally as Porto, is just a few minutes’ walk from the villa. The town is lively in the evenings and offers a range of restaurants, bars, and shops. It also boasts a rich history, with Roman ruins, ancient churches, and museums, including the ethnographic museum. From Ponza’s main port, you can take ferries to the mainland or embark on a boat trip around the island and to the neighboring islands.

For a glimpse into local life, visit the picturesque village of Le Forna, located just 6 km away by car.
