The Four Days of Fun tour is an amazing add-on to any Europe trip to one of the world’s most original landscapes.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival and Reykjanes peninsula adventure tour
You will be met at the airport by your adventure team, ready to take you on a SuperJeep tour into the South of Iceland. Drive through the lava fields of Reykjanes peninsula with a stop at the Blue Lagoon where we have VIP access. National Geographic magazine has named the Blue Lagoon as one of its “25 Wonders of the World.”

Your lagoon experience includes access to the VIP salon, with private shower rooms, complimentary robes, towels and slippers. The lounge has its own fireplace and light refreshments. You may also order a la carte from the award-winning menu of LAVA restaurant. VIPs have access to their own private lagoon with direct access to the Blue Lagoon from an outdoor lounge deck with stunning views. After enjoying some relaxing time in the lagoon we continue and drive to Reykjavik for an overnight in a luxury hotel. (Your accommodations will vary depending on availability, but will be four-star.) Dinner is on your own in the city.

Day 2: Extreme Landscapes
Meet with your SuperJeep guide for a fun day on the South Coast. The South Coast is the longest coastal stretch in Iceland with farms and small agricultural villages spread along from Thorlakshöfn to Höfn. Along the coast you have open access to glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes with an abundance of available activities, restaurants, farms and much more.

Seljalandsfoss is a unique waterfall in the river Seljalandsá, about 18 miles west from Skógar. It is 30 feet high with a footpath behind it at the bottom of the cliff. You may walk behind the waterfall and look at it from the other side.

Skógarfoss waterfall is only a few miles from the south shore, in the village of Skógar along the Southern Ring Road. It is a popular summer resort surrounded by unusual scenic beauty. The view of Skógarfoss waterfall, which is under the Eyjafjallajökull glacier volcano, is breathtaking.

Dyrhólaey is a 400 foot promontory, not far from Vík. When the sea is calm, big boats can sail through the massive arch which has been eroded by the sea. From the top of Dyrhólaey there is a great view of the coast and Atlantic ocean. The headland is thought to have been made in an underwater volcanic eruption late in the glacial period, not unlike the eruption of Surtsey.

Myth has it that the Reynisdrangar needles were formed when two trolls were trying to drag a three-masted ship to land. When daylight broke they turned to stone. The Needles can be seen clearly from the village of Vík and are 200 feet high.

Glacial Hike at Sólheimajökull glacier is about 1.5 to 2 hours and includes all equipment. This is a great glacier adventure where guests can try for themselves how it feels to walk on ice. The walk is on Sólheimajökull glacier (a part of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier) on the south coast of Iceland. After a lesson in ice walking, guests will head onto the glacier to experience this unique environment with some amazing terrain with crevasses, sink holes and ice ridges. The glacier walk does not require any special skills. The tour can be enjoyed by people of all levels in good health and from the age of 10 or so. Included in the glacial hike is all the equipment you’ll need including a helmet, crampons, ice axe and other safety equipment. You will need warm waterproof clothing and good walking shoes.

We’ll enjoy at Red House restaurant in Eyrarbakki, which is famed for its lobster and lamb. Many reviews rave that the Red House has the best lobster bisque in the entire world! Then you will overnight at a private house on the South Coast, giving you a personal, cozy and luxurious Icelandic experience.

Day 3: Golden Circle Scenic highlights and Langjokull glacier
Travelling through the farmlands into Blaskogabyggd area, we will stop by Gullfoss waterfall. Guests are able to get quite close to the thunderous power of the glacial river, which falls 230 feet into the canyon. The water haze frequently forms a rainbow, making for beautiful pictures.

At Langjökull glacier, you will have the option of going snowmobiling for about an hour. This is a thrilling, James Bond-style tour, not a tame groomed ski resort path! Overalls and helmets are included. Each driver must have a license, children under the age of 18 may sit behind a driver.

As we return, we will visit the Geysir hot spring area, have lunch at the Geysir Hotel. The geyser Strokkur erupts about every 8 minutes and is thrown about 30 feet into the air. After lunch at the Geyser Hotel, we’ll continue Thingvellir National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From there the journey continues to Reykjavik and we expect to be in time for dinner in the city. Check-in at your luxury hotel in Reykjavik and we will enjoy dinner at one of Iceland’s finest restaurants.
